just received my Vandalia paper and was so saddened to read of your Mom's death - my sympathy. What a beautiful lady she was, both inside and out. I had the great, good fortune of having her as a grade school teacher and then being her "date" for my 55th VCHS reunion, 5 years ago. At the allclass dinner, we were joined by Ed Mills, who also taught me -- I had NO idea they were cousins. I took the dearest picture of them and sent each a copy - do hope you've seen it. Such a wonderful life, a big loss for your family - my most sincere sympathy.

Mrs. Lotz was my first grade teacher at Blue Mound in '70-'71. She attended our reunion for classes of the 1980's in 2005. It was remarkable she could remember specific details about each one of us after more than three decades.
I am a graduate of Western Illinois University and a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. I never put the connection together between Mrs. Lotz and her son, Brother Chuck Lotz, until her passing.
Mrs. Lotz was a wonderful lady and teacher. My deepest condolences to the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Even though I only met her when I was working at the clinic, it seemed as though Mrs. Lotz always made a point of coming in and speaking with each of us. She was truly a wonderful lady who brightened everyone's days.

The last time that I visited with Trenna was some years ago when she
opened her home to my brother and me when our brother Paul entered
into eternal life. It was so kind of her to do that. We spent the night with
her and she prepared breakfast for us after which we went to St. Paul's
for his service.
I had not known that she was a watercolor artist. She shared her
beautiful paintings with me. In her honor I am printing this in blue!
I enjoyed her paintings so much. When I retired, I too
took up watercolor painting. She was just such a joy to know. She
certainly reflected her Savior's light wherever she went. Always with a happy smile.
I enjoyed seeing the Scottie dog. Was that hers? I have had two
black scotties, I was reminded of them when I saw her with one in
the pictures.
God's blessings to all of you as she joins the throng in Heaven.
